Consortium Virtual Meeting Recap: Paving the Way for Circular Composites

Online consortium meeting

On Wednesday, October 6th, 2024, the RECREATE consortium held a highly productive virtual meeting to review our latest advancements and outline the road-map for upcoming milestones. This gathering of partners and stakeholders centred on driving forward our shared mission to enhance the circularity of glass and carbon fibre composites through innovative technologies.

Advancing Circular Potential through Nine Demonstrators

A key focus of the session was the ongoing work surrounding the consortium’s nine demonstrators. Each demonstrator plays a unique role in exploring and proving state-of-the-art methods to enable recycling, re-purposing and reusing waste in composite materials. Our partners engaged in deep discussions on optimising these activities to ensure that each project component meaningfully contributes to the circular economy. For more details on each demonstrator and their objectives, please visit our dedicated page for demo cases.

Upcoming Dissemination and Exploitation Efforts

In addition to technical reviews, the consortium took the opportunity to strategise around dissemination and exploitation. These efforts will bridge our solutions from the conceptual stage to tangible, market-ready innovations that can make a real impact. Our team is excited to share upcoming announcements, events, and collaborative opportunities to involve the broader community in our mission to promote sustainable composite materials.
